One of Wollongong’s most popular nightspots is set to expand, with the owners of Mr Crown looking to expand their entertainment footprint into two nearby storefronts. Prince Property Consulting has lodged a development application with Wollongong City Council on behalf of Mr Crown landlords, Wollongong Nightlife, seeking consent for the ‘change of use’ of two adjoining tenancies to extend the floor space current Mr. Crown of 177 square meters. “While there are a growing number of small bars, there probably aren’t many entertainment venues, which Mr Crown does.”
Meanwhile, a report accompanying the development application said the proposal would not negatively impact the town centre.
